Amanda-Marie,
LOVED your super tips and the fact that you videoed them from your closet made them really personal.
Outliers is one of my all-time favorite books. I’m reading Excuses Begone by Wayne Dyer—another powerful book.
Thanks for inspiring me to continue with “baby steps” in attaining 2010′a goals:)

Hi Darlene!
I have heard many good things about Wayne Dyer’s book, I want to read that in the near future!
I’m so glad that you enjoyed the video and that I could be of assistance in your 2010 goal achievement!
Have an inspired week!

I really enjoyed your message and the creativity of using the closet.
Just today I listened to Darren Hardy of Success Magazine say that he sometimes goes into his closet to get away and meditate.
I am starting back on my 56 days to Destiny Goal setting program tomorrow.
Thanks for the message.

Amanda,
This is a great idea. I going right now to get my calendar. I was wondering what to do with the extra one I had, now I know. Thanks for the tips. Your videos are so one on one. It seems like you are talking to each of us as if we were there with you interviewing you. Keep up the good work.

Hey Donna! Yes, keeping a calendar has been SO helpful for me! It really let’s me see that everything doesn’t have to be done in a week and helps to space it out over the course of the year. Let me know how it works for you!

Hey Amanda!
Thanks for the awesome tips! You
are right, too many people use this
time of year to make resolutions… but
never follow through with them.
It’s about stepping outside that comfort
zone and doing the uncomfortable things
until they become comfortable:)
Thanks for the share!

Candid Post Amanda I totally LOVED it! I love all your steps. And YES Calendar is definitely a must! I purchased Personal Legend Paul J. Myer MYTYME Success Planner for 2 years now and it has a tracking on the calendar. So at the end of the day I just cross off all the important daily goals I look to accomplish. It has also a Mission/Purpose Statement for every month. I like your style and definitely appreciate You sharing your info.

Thanks

Hey Amanda
The idea to make your goals smaller and setting up a system to keep you from feeling that they need to be here now are such great ideas. Thanks for sharing them. Makes me want to sit back and look back over the goals that I have and see what might be a bit too big of a goal.

Yes, I think a plan to achieving your goal is just as important as setting the goal itself. I would say NO goal is too big, but maybe just needs a very organized plan and appropriate time frame. Thanks for stopping by my blog Steven!

Thanks for inviting us in to your closet and sharing these great tips, Amanda! I have used a calendar for this purpose for years, and while some people think it’s a bit OCD of me, it works!
Another tip I could share that I wrote about recently in a blog post is to create a reward system and CELEBRATE your successes! And not just the big ones, but break it down and acknowledge the achievement of the baby steps that are necessary to get to that big goal in the end! It helps with the impatience you talked about, and of course it’s always FUN to celebrate!
I love how comfortable you are doing videos ~ thanks for being an inspiration to me as I take on this adventure into social media!

Thank you for the comments everyone! I am proud to say that the vast majority of my resolutions are still going strong. A few have been altered but are still there. And the last book I read was “Crush It” by Gary Vaynerchuck…. it was an incredible read! Check it out if you get a chance!
How are your resolutions going?
