I am passionate about helping others and I envision myself helping as many women as possible through my blog here. Let me tell you a bit about myself.

I grew up in the Pennsylvania countryside, the oldest of 4 daughters of business owning parents. Living in the country meant that my sisters and I spent much of our time playing together. Along with my best friend, we created many ADVENTURES of our own. I mention this because from a young age my environment enabled my creativity and leadership skills to flourish. This also caused me to feel like a bit of an outcast among my classmates in middle school, because while many of them were interested in fashion, movies, and television pop culture, I was content to ride horses and play in the woods. This instilled in me the sense that I didn’t always have to be like everybody else and that was OK.

Hitting the wall…

Fast forward about 15 years… After a successful high school and college career I found a steady professional job right after graduating. I got married about a year later and my husband and I have a beautiful home together. I was happy, healthy, and living the life I thought everyone wanted me to. There was just one problem… I did not feel fulfilled. I was professionally unsatisfied which was causing me to feel personally discontent.

All of my life I had been looked upon as the older sister, daughter, and friend that had her act together. Since the time I was in the 7^th grade I (thought I) had known what I ‘wanted to be when I grew up.’ Looking back, perhaps it was that feeling of security in knowing what I supposedly wanted out of life that caused me to stop looking. Needless to say, I could have never anticipated the DISSATISFACTION that I would feel in this profession after just one year. By the end of my second year in the work force, a strong entrepreneurial urge had begun to consume me. I could not fathom working for someone else any longer, with a set schedule, minimal pay, and putting up with the pettiness of the work place. I literally felt like a caged animal in my workplace!

I had hit the wall. As some would say, I was suffering my “quarter-life crisis“. I knew that I could either live a life of mediocrity by staying where I was or move on and take a chance. I had to revert to my childhood belief that I could be different from everyone else and that would be OK.

My introduction to the forces that would change my life FOREVER…

Then about a month before my 25^th birthday, my Dad introduced me to the concept of Personal Development. Talk about EYE OPENING! I had never been exposed to anything in my life that made so much sense! Many of the ideas I am referring to are discussed in the book and movie ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne. I studied how to be the best person I could be, how to use the Law of Attraction to create the life of my dreams and even improve my relationships with friends, family, and my husband. I became immediately interested Eckhart Tolle’s philosophy of living in the present and how doing so allows you to peel back layer upon layer to know and understand yourself on a deeper level. Jack Canfield’s ‘The Success Principles’ became a staple in my morning routine and remains still.

As if the discovery of personal development in my life wasn’t enough, I was soon after introduced to the concept of Internet Marketing. I had always considered the Internet just a place to go to chat with friends, shop, and check my email. I guess I always knew people made money by using the Internet but HOW had always been a mystery to me.

Reaching the climax!?

The finale came when within a few months I was introduced to a Home Based Business offering cutting edge, top of the line personal development products. I had found the income vehicle that could combine my knowledge of online marketing with my passion for personal development to create the time and financial freedom I had always wanted in my life.

Betcha weren’t expecting that! Yes, I did find a company that I supported… and I truly thought it would bring me the life of my dreams. For months I worked my tail off doing everything I thought was right with no success. But as I became more knowledgeable about Internet Marketing, I realized that there was more to it than that. I wasn’t getting the proper training necessary to be successful, and things just weren’t clicking despite my greatest efforts. I knew there had to be a better and easier way.

Luckily, one warm July evening in 2009 I found what I had been looking for while listening to a webinar that I had randomly decided to tune into.

An enthusiastic dedication to knowledge and success…

The webinar that I listened to was by none other than one of my friends and mentors, Katie Freiling. It just so happened that she was launching a class called The Blog Mastery Training Intensive and after over an hour of listening to her presentation and theory behind creating a blog, I was HOOKED. I took Katie’s course and haven’t looked back since. I was given the honor of being one of her Top Students and several months later helped her launch her cutting edge Unified Tribe, social syndication community.

After studying social media marketing trends and tuning into those that have achieved incredible success I have figured out that it’s all about building your personal brand of YOU, Inc. A business model in which you can create rock solid, life-long wealth by doing what you LOVE. It seems too good to be true but I swear on my life that it works… look at Oprah or Tony Robbins if you don’t believe me.

I became passionate about getting people started off in internet marketing the RIGHT way… by establishing their personal brand and building their list and networks through relationships. When you put in the work and have the patience to let these aspects of your business fall into place, you will see AMAZING differences in the amount of success you will have online.

For me, this work became quite fulfilling, to see people learn and develop this new skill set that would serve them for a lifetime, but there was STILL just one little problem…

In creating my own products, programs, etc. I was putting in so much time, I might as well have gone and gotten an hourly J-O-B. Far from my goals of earning an income that would give me the freedom and flexibility to live my dream life. I had to do something…

Divine Intervention?

By this time it was July 2010. I had taken a huge risk and walked away from my steady teaching job in June, promising my husband that I would figure out a way to replace that income in one year, or I’d go resubmit my resume to every school in our area. I really had no clue how I would do this, just a deep seeded belief that I knew it could happen.

I’m not a religious person, but I am spiritual and I truly believe that meeting two individuals that would completely transform the direction of my life in the same month, in two completely unconnected circumstances was nothing short of divine intervention. The universe had taken notice of the hard work I’d put in, and was about to show me a new, and even more rewarding path.

Little did I know, 2011 was about to be the most exciting year of my life, for more reasons than one!
