Amanda, this is an awesome video!

I agree with you 100% and I’ve finally started to create my own products.

I really had to overcome my “impostor syndrome” feelings in order to do it, but I know that each one of us has enough information already inside of us to help someone else…right now with no more learning!

What has helped me is to put my focus on how my product is going to help others, instead of keeping it on myself, my insecurities, and my fear of not being good enough.

There is a quote I love to think about when I’m feeling a lack of confidence in my abilities to do something: “A fourth grader is a God in the eyes of a third grader.”

Everyone’s got different experiences and knowledge and I know for myself, I LOVE to learn from other marketers on a similar journey as me because it gives me a new perspective that I might not have seen for myself. I can use that perspective to enhance my own business, or help someone on my team who has different struggles than I have had.

Thanks for your great video! I hope that a lot of people go out there and create products for their business.

Creating my own products isn’t something i have done so far in my internet career, although i have created physical products to make a living in the past, and there is definitely something satisfying and gratifying in being the creator of something.

Perhaps it’s time for me to start again in the information age!

Hey Amanda!, great video and excellent points,
People have the talent and the knowledge to create their own products and yet 90% will not.
I actually wrote an article on the difference between a producer of goods and services versus a consumer of goods and services and most people go through their whole life just consuming others goods and not even realizing that the producers of these goods are the wealthiest among us..
Even peole who have produced Not so good products have made a fortune!

Just do it !

Great post! You really bring up all the questions and doubts people have before deciding to create their own products. Leadership is indeed essential in this industry, and creating our own products is such a great way to provide value. It’s all part of the learning curve, but while I’m developing my first product, I find it is the most inspiring and rewarding process.
