Great tips, Amanda. Just another way to get your online presence in as many places as possible, widening the funnel to even more people. Going back and reviewing my Facebook strategy right now. I created a fan page a while back, but never really did anything with it. Fixing that right now!

Hey Marvin! Facebook is an awesome place to network with people. Depending on the purpose of your online presence I would maybe go to some groups that are based on your interests and start slowly friend requesting some people. Thank you so much for stopping by and letting me know your thoughts!

Thise 3 reasons are big reasons. Just for the plain simple fact that the profiles cap out at 5000 people is a big enough reason to create a fan page. Great video.

Amanda, this is a great, informative post. I’m going to go build my fan page right now!
Thanks for all your useful and helpful information.
Hey, I have a question that maybe you can answer. Do you know why sometimes when you comment on people’s blogs the comment luv doesn’t engage. Like here, it’s not showing my latest blog post. Just curious, doesn’t happen all the time, just once in a while!
Thanks again for all your info!!

Yes! Go Debbie!
Fanpages are so important to have.
I really don’t have a straight up answer to that question. That was happening to me occasionally or sometimes it wouldn’t show my newest post but the previous one I had written. I did go to comment luv’s website the other day and actually sign up for a free account with them. Doing that allows you to choose from your last 10 posts…which is really cool because you can choose the post that best fits what you are talking about in your comment.
Signing up their website would be my best advice. Hope it helps!

Hi Amanda
This vlog post on the top three 3 reasons why you need to set up your fan page. Have a question for you. When should one start to set up a fan page? Heard through the grapevine that one should have many friends before transferring them over to a fan page like 3,000-4,000 friends. Since I have less than 810 friends should I even consider setting up a fan page.

Hi @Jane!
That’s a very good question. I don’t think you need several thousand friends, I think you can go ahead and begin setting it up once you reach about 1,000.
Here’s why… the longer people know it exists, the most likely they will be to “like” your page. Also, it will give you time to customize and improve your page with various applications. Your fanpage will be a work in progress, it’s never too early to get started!
Hope this helps and feel free to shoot me questions as you build your page!

I am not a big fan of FaceBook. However, it seems to work for a lot of people. My biggest turn off on some of the social media site is that you can have tons of fans follower, etc. However, it comes down to how many of the actually communicate with you. I have never been a big chaser of the numbers. I would rather have a small amount of true friends and followers than big numbers.
