Hey Amanda, I like your video production, did you pick up some tips from Glenn Arcaro?

Great advice on commenting, Too many people comment spam and use automated tools. They do not realize that commenting on the right blogs with a few good comments wil produce much better results than spamming.

    Amanda,

What a great video and perfect opportunity to showcase the power behind creating a systematic approach to commenting on others blogs. You really did a great job in not only listing the benefits, but also what to look for in a blog to comment on. the right tools, resources and approach to a great marketing strategy.

    Truly a win – win.

Another point that I’ve found in leaving a good comment is the comment itself. it’s not enough to say “Fist” or “Great Post” these cheap comments are just that cheap. But if you use a two step approach of mentioning what you liked about the post and leaving a relateable or “feal felt found” comment… then you’ve set yourself up and a good supporting and connector.

By taking the extra minute to leave a good comment gives a lot of weight to the author and to you.

@Ken, yes I agree it’s great to leave a heartfelt comment. The extra 30 seconds or minute is worth your time to stand out to the blog author and to other readers coming by.

I appreciate you stopping by with your words of wisdom! :)

I use to have the top commentators on my blog and it id help to encourage people to leave comments. However, I had it set to reset monthly and people would rush to my site at the 1st of the month to comments. From what I could tell, they were in it just for the being in the top ten. I removed it, because I want people to comment because of my content.

Not sure if I will try it again, but you have me thinking about it.

There is a WordPress plugin that allows your visitors to respond to comments left by readers. I think it is the Absolute Comments plugin. I am told that it helps to get a discussion going. What are your thoughts?

Amanda, a lot of common sense in this posting that many of us may not have been aware of this.

On a totally different note, I want to add a lead capture page to the right margin of my WordPress Blog. I have it already created in AWebber. I could probably find this out myself by reading some instructions to WordPress, but you know how men are with this activity.

    Thanks, Jim Koeneman

    Amanda Reply:

Hey @Jim, glad you enjoyed the post!

As far as your lead capture box, you’ll want to copy the html code from AWeber, then go to your blog backoffice, go to Appearance, Widgets, then drag a text widget over to your sidebar on the right and paste the AWeber html code into it.

Now if you can follow those instructions I’ll be really impressed! ;)

    Take care!
