Welcome Back! If you enjoy my blog leave a comment for me and share it with your friends! Don't forget to take advantage of my FREE 7-Day Video Training Series, Leadership In Online Marketing. Simply fill in your name and email under my video in the right hand column! Thanks for visiting!
Plugins are the Incredible Tools that make your blog more user-friendly. They can do all kinds of amazing things from tracking the traffic that comes through your blog to providing contact forms for visitors to get in touch with you.
Today, I want to share with you two specific plugins that make it SIGNIFICANTLY easier for your visitors to syndicate your content to the world. As a matter of fact, when I visit other blogs these plugins are the first thing I look for when I enjoy a blog post or find it to be valuable and want to share it. I am always disappointed when I don’t find them because I cannot then easily share that post with my social network comrades.
So to begin, I want to remind you of where you are going to find these plugins in your Wordpress backoffice. You simply scroll down the left column until you come to Plugins. Under Plugins you want to select Add New. A new page will appear with a Search bar in which you can type in the name of the specific plugin you are looking for.
Once you have searched for the plugin, and it appears in your search results, you want to look all the way to the right, where it says Install and click on Install. A pop-up box will appear with the description of the Plugin you have selected. In the right hand column should be an orange box that says Install Now. Click this button, then Activate the Plugin and you are ready to go.
The first Plugin I want to share with you is called TweetMeme. While it has a funny name it serves a VERY useful purpose.

Example of a TweetMeme Symbol
TweetMeme connects with your Twitter account to allow your content to be syndicated on Twitter with the click of a button. By pressing Retweet in the green box you will share this post with your entire Twitter account. TweetMeme also keeps a count of how many times a post has been re-tweeted. This allows new visitors to your blog to see how many people are enjoying your content (social proof) AND helps you get ranked in the search engines much more quickly. The search engines are very fond of Twitter these days so the more times your content gets tweeted, the higher you will rank in your chosen keywords.

Example of the ShareThis Symbol
The second Plugin I want to share with you is actually called ShareThis. ShareThis allows you to share content not only on Twitter, but any of the other social networks of your choosing such as Facebook or MySpace as well. Facebook is a powerful Social Media hub and you want to make sure your valuable content is getting shared there as well.
So again, search both of these Plugins in your Wordpress backoffice and I look forward to seeing them in your blog soon. Please contact me if you have trouble using either one and I will do my best to help you get it working. Leave the URL’s of your blogs below so that others can visit and syndicate your material that they enjoy.
Feel free to retweet or share any of my content that you find enjoyable or informative!

Very interesting Amanda,
as I do know the shareme plugin I allways saw but never used the Tweetmeme plugin. I like the way it shows how many people acutally did as this is superior to the share function I am using. I will try it out. Thanks. In exchange I leave you the 3 Things You Must Do Before You Submit To Article Directories http://tinyurl.com/ylk7os3

Amanda,
Great posting on these plugins! There is also another plugin that was just developed by our tribe member Chris Kilber that you can find at http://tribeware.info/plugin-tribeware-singlerss/ which is really killer as well.
The plugin allows you to feature a rotating cast of your tribe members to give them additional exposure on your blog.
I’ll speak with you soon,
John

I recently added the tweetthis plugin so my readers could retweet some pf my posts, but normally I like to keep the least amount of distractions on my sites.
Share This icon is yet another “nice” feature to have on your site but the more distractions on your site, the less conversions you get.
Do you want to be re-tweeted or bought from?
Instead of using tweetmeme for Twitter syndication, set your site up with TwitterFeed instead, since it does what Tweetmeme does but without the added visual distraction.
