Now that we are a week into the Olympic games, I’m sure you’ve caught at least a few events. And I’m sure you’ve heard many of the athlete’s stories of determination through injuries and life’s obstacles in order to achieve their dreams of Olympic gold.
One that instantly comes to mind is Lindsey Vonn’s injury-ridden career. Despite a badly bruised shin, she has battled through the pain to win gold and bronze medals so far in these Olympic games. Talk about dedication!
Well, between watching the inspiring stories of Olympic athletes and training for the half-marathon I will be running in a few months I have been thinking quite a lot about determination lately. Specifically, how it plays directly into the level of success you achieve in your business and in life.

Hi Sweetie! A quick story My husband & I have had a business (traditional business not network marketing) since we were 24yrs old. And I remember family or friends would ask us all the time how we were doing. And just anticipating our success. But just like anything in life worth mastering whether it’s relationship, building a business, finding true love, being a parent, etc… it takes time and it is A JOURNEY: Not to say that you won’t ever attain mastery but as you mentioned here:
Staying Focus
Sacrifice
Dedication
it takes Massive Amount of time, energy, effort
Persistence
Consistency
Then you will… ANything GREAT pursuing in life takes time. Reminding ourselves always that Patience produces immediate result is also key.
Thanks for the reminder!!! I don’t have T.V. anymore but I do appreciate Olympians dedication and level of commitment.

Hi,Amanda! it’s great to hear words of encouragement! i do value your expertise and knowledge on MLM and the willingness to share with all of us.I do think determination it’s important in any goals we have in our lives,not only in terms of doing business online thru MLM or any business venture,but also improving our relationships with our inner circle of friends,family,and business colleagues well…Determination is the key element that push us to do the things that for some people seem impossible,in my own experience when i am determined to accomplish something,i have usually reached my goal that i was pursuing to accomplish. Watching the Olympic games is really something inspirational and worth learning from…unfortunately i haven’t had time to watch the games due to my busy schedule. Your exactly right when you say to be persistent in building your business, it is so easy to get side tracked or listen to advice from others who do not have the same goals that you do. I totally agree that a couple years to build a successful business is a relatively short amount of time, considering all the benefits it will bring you and your family.

Wonderful post, Amanda! It is so true that you need to be dedicated and keep working towards your goal–regardless of any setbacks that may occur along the way. Take those lessons and grow from them…you will soon become a champion in your own right!

Hey Amanda,
You did a great job explaining how dedicated someone must be in their business to be successful. I watched the movie Rudy the other night. Long Story short. Rudy’s dream was to play college football. He walked on the team. Practiced 2.5 years on the second team, never played a game. He was ready to give up and quite. Then the last game of his senior year the team wanted him to suite up for the last game or they were not playing. His dream came true after 2.5 years of practice, hard work, injuries, and dedication.
Your video is very inspiring to dig deep when the going gets tough and to never give up.

You are absolutely right Amanda. We can look at it like the amount of money it costs to go to college and how long it takes to learn a trade. Then when you get done, you have to find a job. After doing that, you have to prove yourself. This can take several years. If everyone goes into this type of business with this mindset, they will have a better chance in succeeding. Persistance and dedication are key.

Hey Amanda, I am in the traditional business, as well as a new network marketer, and all I can say is that you really do have to treat it like a real business to see success, I can tell that already and I’ve only just begun. Thanks for the video, I’ve kind of had the same concept in mind since watching some of the Olympics, I love the determination the athletes have, and it is inspiring to adopt it for myself. Congrats on the 9 miles too!
