Hey Amanda

Accountability is SO important and it ALWAYS helps
if you have a third party to be accountable to.

Great tip!

Its all about setting yourself up for success, right from the start. The great thing about your tip is how it will allow people to build up momentum by starting slowly rather than all at once. This will encourage more success as the momentum builds.

Great tip this week, Amanda! Keep them coming...

Amanda.

Great tip and great site ya have here. I am right with you on starting small. When you start too big, chances are you won't hit the initial target...and then you "beat yourself up"....NOT GOOD....There are too many others who will TRY and do that for you...

Start with those small consistent actions....and let the MOMENTUM build....Ya gotta love the LAW OF INERTIA!!! :)

Have a great one :)

Amanda,

I know you were talking right at me. I totally do this all the time... or used to do it all the time. I would bury myself in my to do list and then I learning that less is more. Often I have felt overwhelmed and didn't get anything done.

Now I'm more focused on just the tasks that need to be done at that time. I still peek at the whole list sometimes, but I get more satisfaction when I can check off one or two things consistently.

Thanks for the super quick tip!

Accountability is sooo big. My list is always too long and everything takes longer than I think that it should. This is my first time on your page and I will be back.

Great post. You set a high bar.

Great Tip Amanda,
If I set a goal to accomplish 1 or 2 things everyday, I feel really great when I get them done. But if I try to do to much I start to feel overwhelmed and behind.
Take Care,
Sharlene

Accountability is HUGE!

Once most people move pass having
parents, teachers and coaches 'watching'
over them... they don't get anything done!

Having an accountability call each morning
with my accountability buddy for the past few
months has totally changed my life!

Thank you for the VALUABLE info and sharing
this with the world!

Hey Amanada,

Thanks for the great tip!
For me the greatest challenge that I face is distractions that come from my mind working in what I call "over-drive" mode. Things come in so fast and processed into the value that they can bring and can not come out in an effective way that does not lead to distracting me from what I was doing in the first place. I was reading about some of the great leaders of the past and they talked about walking around with a note pad to put notes on when they come to their mind. I am going to try to use that method this week and see what happens. What things have you used to help keep yourself accountable?
Have a fantastic day!
God Bless,
-ed

I love the accountability factor here Amanda. I have always been a huge fan of accountability partners.

I have a buddy who is my accountability partner for working out. To be honest, I would probably be 20 pounds heavier if he wasn't around.

The same goes for business. I feel that if there is someone that you are accountable to, you are more likely to get things done. That mostly comes from not wanting to disappoint that person. I think it's also best to not have to close of a relationship with that person. That way you won't be able to blow them off when you get lazy. =)
