These 20 ideas can be spun literally so many ways you won’t have problems figuring out what to write about for months to come! Not only that, but these are all unique ideas that will keep your readers interested and coming back for more. They will create that “Wow factor” for you and help position you as a leader in your niche.

- Share A Strategy – People love to learn new things. This works for any niche and will help you position yourself as a knowledgeable leader. Here is an example.
- Contests – Get creative and have a contest or challenge in which you give away prizes. This creates buzz around your brand and keeps people excited and curious about what you’re doing. The contests could be weekly, monthly, or whenever you want. It could be a design contest, writing contest, it could be for commenting on your blog, signing up for your newsletter, etc. Here is an example.
- Solve A Problem – People in your niche are on the Internet usually looking for the solution to a problem. If you can provide the answer, they will appreciate you for it. Ex.) the best marketing strategies for your budget, the best running shoes for your foot type.
- Pose A Question – Start a discussion by posing a question to your viewers. Ex.) Which of the business models that I’ve discussed do you think is better and why?
- Pop Culture Inspiration – Pay attention to the little lessons you learn while reading books, watching movies, listening to music, etc. then relate it to your niche and share it with your viewers. This is a great opportunity for targeting keywords (authors, musicians, titles, etc.) and writing a search engine optimized blog post.
- Seasonal Posts – Even if your niche is not “seasonal”, people love holiday wishes and updates from you. Don’t be afraid to let your viewers/readers know you are human!
- Biographies – Select a leader or historical figure from your niche, decide what lesson(s) you can take from their life and share it with your readers. This could be a precursor to an interview to come or an affiliate product you plan to review.
- Case Study – A great way to add social proof to your blog content. Ex.) How tribe syndication has changed your business, How Joe Shmo’s product has helped your business do XYZ.
- Live Event – Attending a live event in your niche? There will be many people who wish they were there but couldn’t be for one reason or another. You can be their inside source… Write or create videos about it before, during, and after you go!
- Trends – As a leader in your niche, give an overview of new trends hitting your industry and how you think they will affect it.

Two Bonus Ideas For Part 2!
- Statistics – Your readers will love this sort of post, because you already know they are interested in your niche, or they wouldn’t be on your blog. But chances are, they are too lazy to do the research themselves. Position yourself as the leader and track down that information! This is also an effective way to prove the necessity of your product or service. Ex.) statistics illustrating the difference between local businesses who use online marketing and those who don’t, statistics demonstrating which type of soil is best for planting your garden, etc.
- Industry News – Is there a big launch or event coming up? Explain why your readers should or shouldn’t pay attention and what they have to gain from purchasing a particular product or attending an event. This can be tailored to any niche.
Have enough ideas yet? I encourage you to WRITE THEM DOWN right now while they are fresh in your mind. You can always revisit them later but at least you’ll have something to spark a thought.

Great ideas! I just had a logo design contest on DP for the Spunky Jones SEO Blog. The contest delivered a fair amount of traffic to my site and I have a very nice new logo.
